Amanda Santos is a spinto soprano, educator, and arts leader with more than twenty years of experience teaching and performing.

A Florida native, Amanda made her operatic debut with the Lyric Orchestra in Miami and has since appeared in leading roles on regional stages throughout the United States. Her operatic repertoire includes Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly, Leonora in Il Trovatore, and Giorgetta in Il Tabarro. She has also performed with the Metropolitan Opera Guild in Don Carlo and appeared in the world premiere of Angel of the Amazon by composer Evan Mack at the Sheen Center in New York City.

Amanda maintains an active performing career in both classical and crossover repertoire. She has appeared in concert with the Grammy Award–winning ensemble The Chieftains and performs regularly with her band Suburban Riot, exploring a wide range of musical styles.

Recent and upcoming performances include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in Shanghai, Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio with Sotto Voce, and Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana with Opera Magnifico in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Alongside her performing career, Amanda has dedicated much of her professional life to teaching. She has taught private voice for more than two decades and has served on the voice faculty at Georgian Court University and Mercer County Community College. Her teaching emphasizes healthy vocal technique, thoughtful repertoire development, and the cultivation of confident, expressive performers.

Amanda is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Operallora, a regional opera company committed to presenting innovative and inclusive productions that make opera accessible to new audiences.

Through Classically Trained Studio, Amanda works with singers of all ages, from young performers preparing for auditions to adult musicians who wish to continue developing their voice in a welcoming artistic environment.
